I have spent most of my life living in the north of New Zealand mainly around Whangarei although I did start life in the South Island. My interest in painting began when I was around 12 years old stealing my mothers oil paints to create early master pieces which she happily hung on the wall for me.

I guess I have been painting for around 40 years now developing as much as I could as I went along. Over time my work has become more focussed on light and colour rather than realism. I am thoroughly enjoying my painting at the moment exploring these new ideas.
